Dearest family and friends,
It was a really good week. We were able to see a lot of small miracles in terms of running into investigators unexpectedly, and people who haven't gone to church for some time On the day of fasting, we ran into 5 such people. I am grateful to be able to re-establish contact with them and give them another opportunity to use their agency to live the gospel. As I have pondered this morning, I feel gladdened about how these small miracles did occur, although it has definitely been difficult to help investigators progress and put the gospel truly as priority in their life. We will continue to do what we can in helping these individuals make this personal choice to follow principles that we can know can bless them with lasting and eternal blessings.
I taught English class twice this past week. It is a blast. I just really enjoy acting out the vocab words and seeing people's English, truly progress week after week. It is pretty amazing. We talking about the word, "grill," so I got a spatula and acted like I was grilling a chicken with a piece of paper.
There are about perhaps 30-50 people that come each week for English classes at the church.
Missionary work is so awesome. I love it so much. It is incredible to hear for instance, people pray for the first time or to come to know for themselves about a loving Heavenly Father that truly has plan for them to succeed and finding lasting happiness. I love it. I love it. We were able to meet with one new person this week named Chi. I met her a train stop. I shared a little bit about myself in being here for two years and a couple days later, she texted us back, saying she wanted to meet with us. She didn't introduce herself at first, but I knew who it was. I replied saying her name and it seemed to build a greater relationship of trust in order to help us meet again. We met with her two times this past week and described how she was a feeling of great peace as she met with us. I take no credit for it. I try to fill my mind with the words of scriptures and do be obedient to the Spirit, but the Spirit is always there. There are too many times to count, when I honestly don't know what my response will be to a question or how I will explain a principle, but as I open my mouth, the words just come--oftentimes teaching myself things I had never though of before. I love it. I love it.
I do believe my confidence in the Lord has strengthened this week. It is very difficult for me to understand older Vietnamese people, but I made a larger effort to speak to them these past couple days and amazingly to myself, I was able to have some type of gospel conversation with people, when admittedly, I could only understand probably 20 percent of what they said. I was doing my best to follow the Spirit and looking back, it seems like what was said, was right. I love the Spirit and I know its powerful role as being a reveler of truth. Life is good here in Footscray.
Sincerely,

Scriptures: Isaiah 41:10, Alma 31:31--I love these scriptures. They are always so pertinent in any time of our life. I know God can always help us.
